BGT Jobs & Training, in partnership with Modular Interior Linings are currently looking for a Plastering Apprentice to join a company that delivers high quality craftsmanship in both commercial and residential projects.
About the role:
You will work as part of supportive team of qualified and highly experienced tradesmen, and as part of your on-the-job training, you will complete a nationally accredited qualification in Certificate III in Wall & Ceiling Lining. This training will focus on developing your plastering skills, craftsmanship and trade competency, to set you on the path for your career ahead.
Specific duties will include:
- Assist in the installation and hanging of plaster sheets
- Stopping and fixing Internal Partition Wall Frames & Ceilings
- Decorative plaster work
- Carry out measurements and calculations
- Use hand and power tools and simple levelling devices
- Erect & dismantle restricted height scaffolding
- Handle construction materials and safe disposal of waste
- Prepare surfaces & Clean and maintain work areas
- Follow direction from senior personnel
About you:
- You will be Punctual, Reliable, well organised with a strong work ethic
- Practical and good hand-eye coordination
- Able to do precise and detailed work
- Able to work as part of a team and work independently
- Physically fit
- Drivers Licence is preferable
- Have good communication skills
