BGT Jobs & Training, in partnership with Modular Interior Linings are currently looking for a Plastering Apprentice to join a company that delivers high quality craftsmanship in both commercial and residential projects.   


About the role:


You will work as part of supportive team of qualified and highly experienced tradesmen, and as part of your on-the-job training, you will complete a nationally accredited qualification in Certificate III in Wall & Ceiling Lining. This training will focus on developing your plastering skills, craftsmanship and trade competency, to set you on the path for your career ahead.   


Specific duties will include: 


  • Assist in the installation and hanging of plaster sheets 
  • Stopping and fixing Internal Partition Wall Frames & Ceilings 
  • Decorative plaster work 
  • Carry out measurements and calculations 
  • Use hand and power tools and simple levelling devices 
  • Erect & dismantle restricted height scaffolding 
  • Handle construction materials and safe disposal of waste 
  • Prepare surfaces & Clean and maintain work areas 
  • Follow direction from senior personnel 

About you:

  • You will be Punctual, Reliable, well organised with a strong work ethic 
  • Practical and good hand-eye coordination 
  • Able to do precise and detailed work 
  • Able to work as part of a team and work independently 
  • Physically fit 
  • Drivers Licence is preferable 
  • Have good communication skills
