This partnership provides a unique opportunity to learn from industry leaders while being supported locally by BGT — a community-focused organisation committed to helping people build rewarding careers.

About the Role

As a Second Year Electrical Apprentice, you’ll continue your trade training in a world-class manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced electricians and technicians.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the electrical systems that power Mars Ballarat’s production of some of Australia’s favourite treats.

As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll work toward completing your Certificate III in Electrotechnology, combining hands-on experience with structured, nationally recognised training through BGT.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A second-year electrical apprentice (or higher)
  • Passionate about electrical work and eager to learn and grow
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to prioritise tasks, follow instructions, and show initiative
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
  • Experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment is an advantage, but not essential

Why Join the Mars & BGT Partnership?

Through this partnership, you’ll benefit from:

  • Outstanding on-the-job training at Mars Ballarat — a globally recognised manufacturer with a proud local presence
  • Personalised support from BGT, your local employer and training partner, dedicated to guiding you through every stage of your apprenticeship
  • Career development opportunities and continuous learning in a supportive, safety-first culture
  • Access to health, wellbeing, and work-life balance programs
  • The chance to be part of a company that values sustainability, inclusion, and community impact

At Mars Ballarat and BGT, you’ll be supported by two organisations working together to help you grow your skills, achieve your trade qualification, and build a strong foundation for your future career in the electrical industry.
