BGT is working closely with a local valve manufacturer to recruit an Apprentice, undertaking Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitter & Turner). Role Overview:

As an Apprentice Fitter & Turner, you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality Valves through precision machining, meticulous assembly, and rigorous quality assurance. You will undertake a Nationally recognised qualification and will experience a sense of confidence knowing that you are partnering with a trusted industry leader committed to excellence and innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision fitting, assembly and turning operations on valve components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, ensuring accurate specifications are met
  • Collaborate seamlessly with our engineering team to ensure flawless project Valve execution.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet rigorous standards of performance and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machining equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Learn how to diagnose and repair mechanical issues that arise with manufacturing machinery including lathes, milling machines and grinders.
