“The main benefit of working for BGT was that I got a better range of experience throughout my apprenticeship than most apprentices would get. I appreciated getting the opportunity to try different things.”

“As a successful participant of this program, I can confirm that pursuing this opportunity has proved to be one of the best decisions I have made to date. My hope is that in return for being offered a place in this outstanding program, I will be able to share my unique skillset and contribute towards a diverse workplace community”.
– Olivia - Intensive Welding Course and Certificate II in Engineering
"I have been placing students into the BGT Landscaping/Construction 6 month course for the past 5 years since it first commenced. I have always found the course to be well run. Students that I have had participate in this course have commented they have really enjoyed it. For most, they have confirmed this is an area they would like to go onto and find employment in this field. Julie and now Sean have been great to deal with and are always happy to go the extra mile for our students. The course has been wonderful for some of our most vulnerable and disengaged students, who without this course we may have lost to the couch!! Thank you to the Gordon and BGT for this course."
- Pauline Pipkorn, Phoenix College
Ballarat High School has been participating in the BGT Landscaping program since its inception. The program has been instrumental in providing young people with real industry skills to support their vocational pathways from school to employment. With support from the passionate and dedicated trainers, many young people have developed the confidence and skills to complete their schooling and find meaningful employment.
- Andrew Wallace, Ballarat High
My involvement with the BGT Landscaping course as education support has been some of my most fulfilling time spent with students and colleagues. This course was fundamentally beneficial in developing life skills for the students I worked with. Enabling them to evolve socially and emotionally. Week after week I observed them growing in confidence which enabled them to attain all that the course had to offer. The trainers related to each individuals needs guiding and supporting them, surpassing their full potential.
- Donna Silvey, Link Up
