The Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade) is a trade qualification for Boilermakers, 1st class sheet metal workers and 1st class welders.
In this Apprenticeship you will learn all the competencies required for these trades.
This qualification is designed to provide an industry recognised skills profile related to trade work as an Engineering Tradesperson – Fabrication. Skills development would usually be undertaken through an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement where the mix of on and off-the-job training would be identified in the Training Plan which is developed between the Trainer, Employer and the apprentice. Assessment of some units of competency must, where indicated, include evidence of the candidate’s performance in a productive work environment where there is a sufficient range of appropriate tasks and materials to cover the scope of application of those units. All outcomes must reflect the standard of performance inherent in the job. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) will be taken into account. This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding for eligible individuals. |
