BGT Jobs + Training are currently looking for an Apprentice & Trainee Consultant to join our Employment Services Department. BGT are Ballarat’s largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees and are seeking a new team member to join our dedicated consultants and administrative staff, to grow our business and implement best practice systems and processes.
 
As a Consultant, you will be working amongst a team who are committed, professional and enthusiastic about finding employment for our Apprentices and Trainees. In this role you will work with host employers to find potential Apprentices and Trainees who will suit their business. You will also be required to promote BGT services to prospective Host Employers. Your role will be to provide support and guidance to all of our Apprentices and Trainees, undertaking recruitment, induction and performance management activities on behalf of our Hosts.

To be successful in this role you are required to have:

 
  • Experience in employment services (preferred)
  • Experience in sales or business development
  • Committment to driving a professional environment that demands a high-level of performance and attention to detail
  • An understanding in the importance of working in a team environment and developing people
  • A proven ability to achieve results both individually and for your team
  • A genuine passion and desire for growing businesses
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in HR, IR or OH&S would be highly desirable

Compliance and Quality Officer

Do you have an eye for detail and love it when things are just done right? Are you innovative and looking to join a team that is growing and evolving?
 
BGT is looking for a compliance and quality superstar to join the team.  We are a local not for profit RTO that has been operating for 35 years in the Ballarat region.  We pride ourselves on creating opportunities and working with those that are looking to upskill or reskill to get the careers they want.
 
Our Compliance and Quality Officer will support the training team with the development and ongoing maintenance of policies and procedures. Assist with both internal and external auditing requirements, coordination of quality improvement activities within the department and organisation as well as the analysis of data. We want a team player that has a passion for the overall success of the team and organisation.
 
To be successful in this role you are required to have:
  • Experience in monitoring risk, quality and compliance within a similar education or training provider.
  • Experience working in an RTO environment.
  • Policy writing experience.
  • Experience in VETtrak or similar is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
All applicants must have a current working with children check, satisfactory police check and Victorian drivers license.

BGT is looking for an Accountant to join our team.  We are a local not for profit organisation that has been operating in Ballarat for 35 years.  We pride ourselves on creating opportunities for those within our community by working with people that are looking to upskill or reskill to get the careers they want.
 
The Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts and the internal audit function, as well as providing assistance to payroll and the financial management of the organisation.

To be successful in this role you are required to demonstrate:
 
  • CPA qualification (or equivalent) or currently undertaking.
  • Experience working in finance.
  • Experience in end of month financial reporting
  • Knowledge of internal controls processes
  • Ability to prioritise and manage projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
