APPRENTICE TRAINEE CONSULTANT

BGT is looking for a motivated, results driven and energetic person to join their ever growing, fast dynamic Employment Services team. BGT has been a story of continued success for over 30 years in Ballarat. We began with a philosophy of providing young people with employment opportunities to reach their full potential and provide employers with well skilled and suitable staff.  BGT now provide various entry-level qualifications, employment and assistance programs to all members of our local community.

About the role:
The position of Apprentice and Trainee Consultant is an exciting opportunity, which helps facilitate potential apprentices and trainees to find employment and support them through to the end. As part of your role, you will be required to actively seek employment opportunities for applicants, while managing strong client relations with our host employers.  You will work with a committed, professional and enthusiastic team to help find employment for predominately-younger Ballarat locals. 

​Tasks:
  • Support new and existing apprentices and trainees
  • Contribute to the growth of the employment services department by actively seeking new apprentices, trainees and host employers
  • Promote BGT as a service provider of choice, continually seeking high quality applicants and results
  • Actively manage apprentices and trainees seeking employment
  • Liaise with host employers, government bodies and training providers to ensure strong progression of apprentices and trainees
  • Undertake regular site visits to ensure safe work practices and conditions for our apprentice and trainee. 

About you:
  • Be highly motivated and driven to succeed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly professional and able to work well within a team
  • Experience in apprenticeship and traineeship systems desirable
  • Experience in client relationship, building, and management
  • Proven experience in bringing in new business and seeking other business opportunities
  • Recent satisfactory police check
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Current working with children’s check
