Youth Connections will provide a national, flexable, individualised and responsive service to assist young peole who are most at risk of disengaging from education or training and therefore not attaining Year 12 or equivalent and not making a successful transition to further study, training or work. The objective of Youth Connections is to support these young people to attain Year 12 or equivalent and to help them make a successful transition through education and onto further education, training or work.
Preferred order of outcomes for participants of Youth Pathways is as follows:
Youth Connections will focus on three overarching outcomes. These are:
- That young people at risk develop personal skills and attributes that promote wellbeing and support positive life choices.
- That young people at risk are connected to education, family and community achieve successful education and transition outcomes,and
- That Youth Connections Providers work collaboratively within their service region to strengthen service delivery outcomes for young people at risk.
Social and personal development outcomes:
Young people at risk will develop personal skills and attributes that promote wellbeing and support positive life choices.
