This course enables those working or seeking to work in a child care facility to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure, play and help them to achieve their developmental outcomes, it also encompasses the Governments
Early Years Learning Framework, which is a new national standard for the delivery of early childhood education.

In this course you will learn

  • Supporting the development of children
  • Providing care for babies and children
  • Ensuring the Health and safety of children
  • Developing an understanding of Children's interests and developmental needs
  • Working within a relevant legal and ethical framework
  • Interacting effectively with children
  • Contributing to the provision of nutritionally balanced food in a safe hygienic manner
  • First Aid
  • Work effectively with families to care for the child

Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:

  • Playgroup supervisor
  • Family day care educator
  • Child care assistant educator

When:
Tuesday 1st May 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday) - 9.30am to 3.00pm

An information/enrolment session will be held on Tuesday 24th April at 10am- 12pm
