BGT is a not for profit  community based Group Training company who place apprentices and trainees with a range of small and large host businesses providing on the job training.

BGT manages all of the costs and administration associated with managing an apprentice or trainee saving the business time and money.

BGT is also a registered training organisation (RTO) providing training services across the community and specialising in certificate courses.

Our Youth Connections team provide support for the disengaged youth of Ballarat. They assist in overcoming barriers that prevent young people from completing their education, training or employment.

• BGT's main objective is  to provide opportunities for the local community to effectively secure employment and a qualification as an Apprentice or Trainee. We are able to provide relief to long term unemployed apprentices and trainess who are suspended, out of trade, out of work, unemployed and in positions of difficulty in regard to their circumstances.
• BGT provide pre-employment support and case management including the development of social and personal skills to people from low socio-economic areas.
• BGT work with the local community to develop programs for the unemployed and disadvantaged in our communities. These programs offer a range of activities and training aimed at achieving employment outcomes and improved skills.
• BGT provide a matched savings program called Saver Plus, providing up to $500 for low income and unemployed people assisting them to meet their families education needs.
•  BGT through our Youth Connections team provide one on one case management support for the most at risk and disengaged young people and assist them to stay in education.
